Why ännT?

ännT takes its name from one of nature’s toughest builders. Ant colonies thrive because every member has a role, every tunnel has a purpose, and the whole system moves with quiet strength. We follow the same idea.

Each product in the ännT line is a specialized part of a larger security system, built to work together with precision. From fixed and retractable units to road blockers, access control, and covers, every component carries its weight.

The result is a unified system that adapts, protects, and scales with the demands of any site — certified to the world’s highest perimeter security standards.

ännT Bollard Product Line

Certified. Not just engineered.

Every ännT bollard is crash-tested — not designed to spec and assumed to perform. When a product carries an ännT rating, it has been independently verified against the world’s most demanding perimeter security standards: IWA 14-1 and ASTM F2656.

M30 / K4

Stops a 15,000 lb vehicle at 30 mph. The minimum standard for most government-adjacent, municipal, and commercial perimeter applications.

M50 / K12

Stops a 15,000 lb vehicle at 50 mph. Required for embassies, critical infrastructure, data centers, and high-threat government installations.

Single-Bollard Certified

Most competitors require an array of bollards to achieve a crash rating. ännT products are certified as individual units — giving specifiers more flexibility with fewer constraints.

The shallow-mount advantage.

Most crash-rated bollard systems require a foundation depth of 600mm to 1,200mm — a requirement that rules them out for the majority of real-world retrofit environments. Existing utilities, underground infrastructure, and hardened surfaces make deep-pour installs impractical or cost-prohibitive.

ännT bollards are engineered for a 300mm foundation depth — roughly 12 inches. That is a crash-certified solution that installs in almost any environment, including sites where conventional systems cannot go.

For architects and engineers, this removes the most common barrier to specification. For contractors, it means faster installs, less disruption, and fewer surprises on site.

Foundation Depth Comparison

ännT: 300mm (~12 in)

Typical competitor: 600mm to 1,200mm

Same crash certification. A fraction of the excavation.

One system. Every application.

ännT offers a complete product family — fixed, removable, automatic retractable, semi-automatic, portable, and road blockers — all sharing a consistent design language. For architects, that means a unified aesthetic across mixed applications on the same site. For specifiers, it means a single trusted source for the full perimeter.

Architects and Engineers

Consistent design across product types. Full dimensional specs and CAD files available. Compliant with IWA 14-1 and ASTM F2656 for specification documents.

Government and Institutional

Independently crash-tested to K4 and K12 standards. Certifications available for procurement documentation. Single-bollard certification reduces site-specific engineering requirements.
